Sending Wishes

New series of “Amelia” was created by Sanaz Valizadeh for the international art fair 2022 in Luxembourg. Sanaz was looking for a universal subject to present a wishful life. She chose to paint Amelia one of her beloved piano students. She could read stories through her facial expressions. Sanaz was particularly blown away by Amelia’s photographs that were taken by Her talented Grandma. Sanaz could feel the similarities between her vision and Amelia’s portrait. She wanted to create an artwork that a whole world could relate to. A world with people full of love and hope.
I painted confetti blown away into the sky by Olivia sending wishes of happiness. My focus was to symbolize happiness with the colorful Canfetti representing all cultures and the playfulness of the subject.
